GM Customer Loyalty Credit of $1000 - Dealers Please Explain

Can some of the dealers on this forum please explain the GM Customer Loyalty credit and whether it is applicable to the 2010 Camaro. Do you need to currently own a GM vehicle? How long is the credit available? Is it valid when you take delivery of the vehicle or when you order the vehicle?

Trying to determine if I qualify for the credit. I have a 2010 Camaro on order for my wife and the car will be in her name. I currently own a GM SUV and the vehicle is in my name. Does my current GM vehicle title need to be in both of our name to qualify for the credit? Does the new vehicle (2010 Camaro) title need to be in both of our name to qualify for the credit?

I don't believe it's valid for the Camaro and if it is dealers don't have to honor it. I've used it in the past and I've needed to show the title of the car I owned. It was 99 or newer before. All incentives apply at delivery so if you order one now and the offer is gone when delivery happens you're out the incentive.

I do believe both titles have ot be in the same name, but that could be dealer specific.

I Got the letter in the mail. It is for purchase of a new 2009 or 2010 model and you have to already own a GM vehicle. Valid until August 31st. I called my dealer and got incentive protection and am going to use that 1000 bucks on the camaro.

Do you know if this is only a Canadian GM incentive? Based on the response in the other Camaro forum, dealers in the US are not receiving this incentive yet.

I don't think it works for the US....when we bought my wife's Camaro a couple of months ago, I got the letter in the mail. I was going to use the discount/incentive towards my Camaro as it should be here before August 31....but after reading the fine print, it only applied to 2009 models.
