Well if you hit it with the night if Thor's hammer then I would agree. It did the job and I have zero issues with hard miles after the install.

you might not the next guy might. But you did do damage. might be so little that you dont find out for 100,000 miles. Then you still wont know because you will blame the mileage.

I know of 30+ balances that a buddy put on with a hammer. None of them have had any thrust bearing issues yet. That being said, we installed mine with the correct tool and I let him keep it and he's been using it since.
Tool is about $50 and SAFE.
