Prepping the finish before having a paint protective film applied.

I'm considering having a paint protective film applied.

Curious as to anyone's experience or recommendations regarding the type of product (sealant, polish, wax, or polymer) they applied before having their film installed. Thanks.

As a rule, all polishes, sealants, and waxes should be stripped to ensure the most reliable adhesion. The first thing the installer will probably do is to spray it down with an isopropyl alcohol mixture.
