I think your car qualifies as the heaviest modded ZL1 on Camaro5!

Very cool with that right hand drive!

Is that a GM production right hand drive Camaro?
If you did do it yourself with a local company then WOW!!!
That's pretty cool!

No, unfortunately GM didn't finish the engineering on the Camaro RHD....

The conversion was done by a local company called "Corvette Clinic". Kane did a great job there.

I'm a big guy (6'5") so while the car was being converted, we modified the seat mounting brackets on the drivers side to give me an extra 1" of head room.
This let me get a car with a sunroof...
Now I have about 1/2" of headroom to the headlining on the roof.

Cheers

Seat bracket photo

Brad,

If it is easy enough, could you post a picture of your modified seat bracket?
Thanks.

Just one question , you did all of that in order to not to have to walk around the car to fuel it up right ?
And you bought the car in the USA and drove all the way there , so to have the first 1500 miles done quick and ready to go when back home , lucky man .

G'Day mate.

Brad,

Great looking car!

I just recently moved back to the US from Melbourne. Prior to leaving Melbourne I ordered my ZL1. I took delivery last December of a 2013 Tom Henry Racing Black ZL1 Vert. that is pushing over 620 hp. Scary car for sure.:eye bulge:

Anyway. I used to live in the Eureka Towers in Southbank. I also had a home in Mt. Eliza. I still come over 3 or 4 times a year to play baseball with my mates in Mornington. Also note that I send heaps of stuff over to my buddies all the time. Let me know if you need any help getting your parts or mods.

Cheers,

GT

Hi Guys,

I've been busy on the beast over the past week..
(Aside from sorting out the damage from the e brake failure)

I've had the windows tinted with a heat reducing film which supposedly has carbon nano particles in the film to improve performance...
I don't know if it's true but I put a solar load meter on it and it reduced the sun load from 180 BTU's in full sun to 40 BTU's behind the film....

I've fitted headlight armor kit with smoked tail lights, reverse lights, side markers and front indicators. The headlights and DRL's are done in clear.
I also went to the local GM Holden Dealer and bought 20 of those black plastic covers for the wheel nuts to get rid of the chrome on the nuts. And whilst I was on the anti chrome push, I plasti dipped the Camaro badge on the fenders.

I think it's coming along nicely.
While I was at the supermarket today a father and young son waved me down to take a photo.
The young kid asked if this was Batman's car?
I said "No, but I think it's an Autobot Transformer..." and winked at him.
It made his day.

I've fitted new high output Osram HID headlamp bulbs (70% more light, 60ft longer beam and 5% whiter light than standard) to help spotting the Kangaroo's.

Can you see them.....?

Now I'm waiting for a package to arrive from Gen5DIY to arrive with my 50watt DRL LED bulbs, 50Watt fog light bulbs and a custom lighting harness to turn my halo's into DRL's and my DRL's into driving lights that come on with the high beams... (Kudos to Jarod at Gen5DIY for turning around a custom order so quickly)

Then there's the licence plate bracket from Jason at Jacfab that on its way....

Cheers

Brad

Welcome mate Nice car ...enjoy it! How about the shift pattern ...is 1st the right most or left most gear? What kind of emmision restrictions do you have down there? Suggestion, add cut outs and run 'em open to really keep the roos away
