I have a good exhaust shop that I've had do exhaust work on several of my cars over the years. I took my car by and he tells me that the exhaust setup is excellent and that I should just change out the mufflers for better flowing ones.
1. What are your thoughts on mufflers only? 2. If mufflers only, what brand? |

Lol, I was going to say I took the mufflers off my car a week after buying it. Left the resonators on it, I'm not a huge fan of it but to get the sound, but better then stock. I want I need long tubes, hi-flow cats (or no cats), and some nice mufflers.

I'm assuming you have NPp
With the fuse pulled your basically bypassing the mufflers anyways. Not need to remove anything but the fuse. With the fuse pulled its as free flowing as a muffler delete |

No NPP. I actually like the single larger tip on each side. I ordered the NPP but now don't know that I want it. 830 is a lot of cash for a little noise.

I don't have the NPP on my car. It's ordered but I don't want to spend 800 for an increase in sound if there is nothing else gained....

I'm a fan of the old muscle car sound and just cutting off the mufflers won't achieve that lol. When I do customize my exhaust though, I will start from the front and work my way back (probably replacing everything at the same time). Then after exhaust I'll do some engine work.
I want to say the sound out of my exhaust now is kind of ricey but it really isn't. I guess it would be considered the "sports car" sound. Either way, it sounds decent just not my cup-o-tea you know? Also I can now hear the decel popping but that doesn't really annoy me to much .

Like any aftermarket cat back exhaust upgrade its only gaining a few hp but it also saves some weight over stock. The advantage is its dual mode so you have the best of both worlds. With the flaps open on the outer pipe it is similar to a straight pipe.
The quad tips also look nice IMO. |
