I wouldn't exactly call them junk. I will say they aren't for the type of car owner like myself that likes to install an aftermarket part and not have to worry or mess with the part for a very long time. As many people have already posted, it's only a matter of time before the majority of the owners of these lights begin to have issues. If not, then those few select owners should consider themselves very, very lucky.
I had mine only two weeks before I began to have a problem. Thankfully it happened on one of the inner lights which is pretty easy to remove. Otherwise the outer lights are a PITA to remove due to one of the nuts on the studs being pretty hard to get to. Luckily for me, my fix was pretty easy. I fixed the issue then I sold the lights.

. Or I can be brave, and as I figured it, after bankruptcy, logic may very well dictate anything post bankruptcy, may mean the possibility of a solid product. My point is, that yes these lights had serious teething problems at first. I myself waited and bought from the latest batch. As with GM, I'm hoping that perhaps I'll be one of the "luckier" ones, and timed it right .

UPDATE:
Ok so before I committed to buying the resistors, I decided to do a little elimination of what could be the issue, I hate spending money and later finding out I wasted my $$ and it wasn't the solution, I'm sure lots of others on here are like that too. But turns out it is the resistor, but I will get to how I got to that conclusion so everyone is aware if they weren't already. (If everyone was aware, I must be a dumba**)Basically I tried to swap the 2 resistors in the bank connected to both LED light housings to the other and tried signalling to see if it stayed on the same light housing or moved to the other, which I expected, to see which resistor was bad. It still did the same thing on the inner light and confused me at first making me think it must be the light itself that got messed up. So I tried the right side, which works flawlessly by the way, because I am a very persistent person (good/bad thing? ... who knows ). I took off the resistor from the inner light housing on the good side to see if the same problem occurred and it did, flashed 3 times perfecting and then hyperflash. I reversed it around removing the outer light housing resistor and connected the inner again and signaled and the same thing happened, flashed normal first 3 times then hyperflashed in the inner light. Which proved to me that the resistor was definitely busted and that the lights must be acting as a Master/Slave to each other. Also proved to me that it doesn't mean the resistor connected to that specific light is the bad one, or that there was a problem with the specific light housing/micro. I proved to myself that it really was a bad resistor and learned that these light are definitely acting as a master/slave (inner light being the master to hyperflash if a resistor is bad/blown, and outer being the slave not giving a sh*t about a resistor value at all constantly flashing at the normal rate). And just to be EXTRA certain, I removed both resistors from the good side, and it indeed did the same thing, flashed perfectly 3 times then go berserk on the inner light only like the left side. So, it really is just a resistor problem, and I need to buy resistors. Just thought I would share with others in case the issue arises for someone else and they go as crazy as I did about the damn light going whack all of a sudden and resistors measuring fine and thinking the light is busted. Turns out lights act as a master/slave to each other.

Thanks for being persistant and posting what you did, very helpful. Are you able to get the resistors from Cool-LEDs ?

Yeah Todd offered to ship them to be in the bank mounted to the plate for $16, not sure if that includes shipping or not, I have to ask. But I didn't buy them just yet, I can get them cheaper online loose (~$5/pair on eBay or $8/pair from vleds, which is probably more reputable and guaranteed) and then I can just mount them on the existing plate with the screws just a matter of the connectors. Would need to cut it off, and then connect it to the new resistors and heatshrink it together to avoid any water touching the wire. I'm thinking I rather just have it come complete from Todd and not have to cut wires and heatshrink them together, would look neater if Todd sent me replacements all ready to go.
