The only car I know much about drag racing wise with this kit is Kevins car, or technically Cortney's car since it is his wifes daily driver. It has 18" nt05rs on it, no bushings, no control arms, nothing done to be a drag race car. It went 10.9@~132 or so on 10-11psi in Tucson which is ~2800ft elevation on a hot day. We thought that was pretty damn good considering the times everyone else was running that day, and for not being setup for the 1/4. Car was shifting to 5th which wasn't helping times.

Yes I'm an auto car. My SS had an LPE 416 with a Maggie on top of it with everything you could do to it, it made 732 rwhp & ran a 10.56 at 134 when it was a 6 speed manual car. Like I said I don't want to say what I'm running just yet but I will say this car has already destroyed that et & mph on 20' nt05r's with the stock converter. I don't have it even close to working the way it should.

I'm lucky because our tracks don't close down unless its a rainy day. I'll have new times next weekend.

I converted my SS to auto because I lost my left leg when a truck hit me on my streetbike, it made 686 rwhp on ADM's dyno, my ZL1 makes 850 rwhp on 91 octane on the same dyno. The turbos get way better gas mileage & make way more power, the Maggie had a harder hit off idle but the turbos catch up fast & pull harder for much longer. If you price out this AGP kit its way cheaper than my Maggie was, I had the LPE 14 rib rear setup, 8 rib front setup, larger heat exchanger, smaller front pulley for more boost, ported the blower to match the LPE heads, ADM cold air intake & a super tensioner. Add in on top of all that ARH long tube headers & the blower is way more than this kit & it doesn't make the same power, its also maxed out. Want more power with the turbo kit & you just buy bigger turbos for not much money, sell your old ones & its barely any money at all. I'd recommend this kit to anyone because of price, power & drivability. AGP has awesome customer service also, I called them with a few questions & they answered all of them without me feeling like they wanted off the phone, Kevin the owner of AGP sent me a pm with his personal number & offered his help if I ever needed it, offered to spec me a converter, gave me tips on drag racing/launching a turbo car because this is my first one, very cool guy & company! All my cars will be turbo from this point forward, I'll never go back to belt slip or needing to buy additional mods that add up to the price of the blower to get the potential out of the blower unit itself.

Oh well. Still looking into it also. We will tap out this maggie and move on to better things. This thing pulls hard but falls off up top unlike turbo power. |
