I don't find this car all that much fun at it's current power level. Mine has gone 11.7 stock in good air but it still wasn't all that thrilling. Don't get me wrong, this is an awesome all around car, it just doesn't give me the pin to the seats thrill that my other camaro does. I think part of the reason is that the Z is so refined, it's deceptively quick...or could be because it is an auto.
Refraining from modding is going to be difficult.

My plan at the moment is very simple.
- Green drop in air filter - APEX catch can - 18 inch drag radials on my existing 09+ Z06 front wheels or a 305 nitto 555R on stock wheels full time. - NPP fuse pull for a more aggressive exhaust sound If I can run 11.70s-11.80s in decent weather with that setup I'll be thrilled and no warranty hassles at all. |

Mine is a daily driver and each weekend I put about 400 miles on her when I'm back in the states. Only thing I was the fuse pull and had her dipped to protect her from the crap on the Texas highways. Maybe get a Cold Air Inductions intake...

only things i am going todo are in this order:
RotoFab CAI, New Wheels (the polished wheels just dont do it for me) and a new carbon fiber air splitter with rods. I want headers to improve the sound but I am not willing to tune.

I left mine totally stock. Primarily to preserve the warranty, but also because 580hp is plenty. It's my daily driver. I don't race it on the street or track it. I bought it because I fell in love with the way it looks and because of the performance for the price. Even though I don't race it or track it, I do stomp on it every once in a while to experience the thrill of how powerful it is. It's a fantastic car and more than I need.

Sold my highly modded 1/LE to get my Z . Before I made the switch I said no Modding this time, the car is phenomenal the way it is. Well for the first month I refrained but had a hard time not getting the rotofab. Once I put that on and felt how awesome of a mod it was I needed to do just a little more. I got a total of about 2200 in performance in my car with just intake, tune, injectors, and a crank pulley, stock exhaust and manifolds. Just about 100 more to the wheels with every bit the reliability of stock. Best part is I can put the car back to 100 percent stock and even know it was tuned the dealership that I choose to bring it to (the one that will give me the ridiculous deal I want) will never even know it was modded. I have traded a few modded cars now and when returning them back to stock, I have never had one place ever know it was modded or tuned. Although to mod is a personal preference and nothing against the stock guys but man you don't know what your missing. Car is an animal stock and a straight beast with very little mods.
Warranty worry is so over stressed! One thing I know though is either way stock or modded, you have one bad ass machine......... Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk |

I prefer stock, due to police restrictions.
If the car is sent to the impound, the amount of damage done to the car is a lot. Yearly renewals will also be a mission as authorities are strict about mods, some guys go through removing mods, back to stock, renewing the car, then installing the mods back again. I'm happy with 580. |

Mine will stay stock until I can pay Ligenfelter to do otherwise lol
They warranty their work on the engine, and that combined with their experience, makes me comfortable with the upgrade.
