I agree with the others, DO take it in as soon as you get the CEL on again... I'm wondering if it's just purely coincidence as to when it comes on though, regardless of fuel... More of a timing thing... Take it in while there's still time.

I'm nearly through that tank of mid-grade. The CEL is off and everything seems normal now. It may just be that my computer got "set in its ways" and took a while to accept that the fuel was different, but I'll still take the advice here to bring my car in to have experts check the timing chain.

Hook it up to a code reader and see if the code is still showing up...if so, take it to the dealer and get your timing chains replaced before the warranty runs out. Don't say anything about fuel types or causes.....the code alone should be sufficient for them to replace the chains under warranty.
