The Camaro is here to stay. I did not suggest it was in jeopardy.
Just answering the question why sales matter.

If you can find a data source post it.
I priced a 2014 in the Fall, and the incentive did not break $1500.
Sunset Ford, STL, MO about a twenty-two stang inventory.
That is all the data I have.

Doesn't the ford website show the incentives they offer for each model they sell?

I don't know. I have been an inventory buyer. Is ford.com giving up $3550 incentive on Mustangs? I will check right now, only because I want another Mustang.

I copied data from Detroit about incentives. It is attached.
GM is the incentive leader. Ford came up but from a lower point,
and still under GM.

If you do not want a car I don't think the incentive could make you buy. Surprised by the solid axle stang numbers. I thought they would fall to the Challenger level after the 2015 was introduced.

Ford will produce S197s to the end of June '14. wrote earlier the 2014 stang is the best solid axle pony car ever, the sales are supporting that.
Many do not like the 2015....MANY! The 2014 mustang is a beautiful car. Everyone pretty much agrees and the solid rear is perfected much like gm's pushrod motors, they are the best pushrods.

Ford.com incentives on a GT are $1000 bonus cash.
It is complicated, you must buy from a dealer inventory by 03-31-2014.
The V6 incentives are $750 or $1000, or a $3000 package but all of these
things are highly conditioned. I priced a GT and what the dealer represented is about right,
they do the $1000 factory cash plus $500 from their percentage. I would like getting
a $3500 incentive on a GT, but I do not believe that exist.

I do think that also varies depending on what part of the country you are in, I know GM does that.

My flash memory is only so good so these numbers are not perfect. Priced a 2SS at Chevy.com, automatic and no packages. About $38,800-$500 incentive. Off a lot, would $37,300 drive home? If yes the incentives are equal, if no then not. This exercise discovers something, the Muscle cars are not the high incentive models. For Ford $1000 is a long way from $3300, and Chevy $500 is a longer way from $3600.

LOL.... Nice try! But like everyone else have told you this is about the muscle cars. But I would think you would know before you try to prove us wrong. LOL... But ofcourse GM has more incentives anyone smart would know that. Because after all GM do have way more automobiles than Ford.

Woops, I just had a screen pop up from Chevy.com offering a $1000 "private offer" incentive on an 'eligible '13 or '14 Camaro'. I think the two muscle cars trade on a par basis.
If Ford goes an extra 1/2K it is because they are wringing out the end of the fully amortized tooling of the S197 platform. A ten year production run. They have their return on investment. Camaro is just reaching five years on their gen5 tooling.

I would disagree with you, it honestly seems about half and half on people likeing the 15. Once more info and pics and people actually see it, I bet more people will jump onto the 15 bandwagon.

Most of my friends are Mustang die hards, only cars they've driven, and they hate the 2015. These are potential buyers and not people commenting that will probably never buy it.

Complaints are that it doesn't look like a true Mustang, too feminine, and too small. 2 of them bought used 2013s a week after the 15 reveal. My friends probably aren't the only ones who feel that way. I buy into the sales increase.

The 1968 Steve McQueen 390 fastback had a 107" wb. The S197 has 107" wb.
The 2015 gen 6 has 107" wb. (too small?) (too feminine?) (true mustang?)
You be the judge. See pic.
