Yes Mark114. I checked with the local tire shops and nobody has any of the Pirelli Scorpion 275's. But I checked at a firestoneautocare place and they have the Bridgestone Blizzak 275's. But the question which I'm left with is whether thats OK to use Pirelli's in the front and Blizzaks in the rear or not?

Can you simply buy 2 more of the 245's for your stock rear wheels and be done with it? MANY have that size setup with no issues.

The Blizzaks are an awesome tire and you'd be just as good on a set. I've got a set on my car and have always run them on my vehicles.l I work in the Industry and can get any tire I like and I always run Blizzaks. I've gone through blizzards through the Canadian Rockies and these tires always get me where I'm going. Check out some of the other auto shops that can get tires. Any of these shops on this link can help you out.
http://www.tbccorp.com/ On the sizing, as long as your runout distance of the tire is close you will be fine. It gets to be a real concern on AWD but for the read drive Camaro you'll be fine. I'm running 275/40/20 on a set of SS take offs on my ZL for the Winter.

Todd, I tried in a big number of tire shops around. I spoke to them. Everyone has the same answer that they are not able to get the 275 Pirelli scorpions. I spoke to firestoneautocare guy and he is able to get me Bridgestone Blizzaks But the only thing which I want confirmation from you guys is whether its ok to use Teo Pirelli scorpions in the front and two Bridgestone blizzaks in the rear. Is there any effect on the performance or not. However both are the Best in class winter tires. Based on the answer from you guys I will go ahead and order them.

In my opinion you have two options here:
1 Return the front Pirelli and get all 4 Blizzaks 2 Get the two rear 245 Pirelli Either option will be a great setup Personally I would not go with front Pirelli and rear Blizzaks, but that's just me By the way are the two Blizzaks from firestoneautocare 275? if so I would choose option 1. anyways good luck!! |

The thing is Bridgestone Blizzaks dont have the front size tires. I had a chat with tirerack.com and they said that its not at all recommended to use Pirelli in front and Blizzak in the rear as their speed rating is different.
They are suggesting me to use 245 Pirelli's on all the four. But I spoke to Chevy customer service and they are not suggesting me to use 245's on all the four. I'm going out of choices. |

I think your only option at this point is to keep looking around for another day or two and if you can't find any go with 245 all around. There are a bunch of people in this forum that have driven with this setup and are completely fine. I will let you know if I find something out there and let you know right away in the next day or two but keep in mind your choices are very limited at this point.
Good luck Bud! |

Does anybody used 245/45/R20 on all the four wheels of Camaro which has 275/40/R20 stock size in the rear? Why because I'm not able to get the 275/40/R20 anywhere in US.

Well, I can vouch for the Scorpion Winters. I picked up 2, 275/40r20's on ebay with over 70% tread left and 2 245/45r20 new from tirerack that were installed yesterday. Even though the snow is melted here, it's still darn cold and I can tell and night and day difference.
The Scorpion's are awesome so far...............of course, now that I got'em, it won't snow again this winter..... Incidentally, there's a few used 275/40r20's on ebay right now that I just saw, maybe try there?

I've decided to go with Bridgestone Blizzaks even though they are low speed rated as Chevrolet dealers are confirming that I can use different speed rated tires front and rear because in winter however we are not going to drive with a high speed. Scorpions are V rated and Blizzaks are R rated.

Don't think you should mix the two types though. I thought we said that.

But when I check with the different chevy dealers they are saying this, as I'm not going to do any races or something, I can use those tires. But they are strictly saying no for using the same size of tires all the way around.
