There is no comparison in power. This is a muscle sports car. Every thing your saying is probably the truth. But not every having a car like this is more than you can imagine. Take it from a lot of people of on these forms who have had these cars growing up & being around them. And please don't think I'm bashing you. Once you get use to this car your going to try different things with it & trying to push the power.

I wish you all the luck with what ever you choose & stay safe. All this is from a 68 year old man & I have one of these.

Don't let peoples opinions on your age get to you (Im a 42 year old man) and I don't care what age someone gets a Camaro. We are not your parents Good job on doing good in school. Getting a car for good grades is an awesome incentive for kids to excel in school. Keep the grades and enjoy your new ride when you get it.

Must of been lucky when I found mine, 2011 SS/RS loaded, still has new car smell, very clean, not a scratch, not a problem, 30,000 miles. Paid less than 22

BTW, good luck with finding a good deal! You will love it,, I friggin' love mine!

Seems a bit high, I'd say haggle it down a bit more.

As for owning the car, it's your (parent's) money, they can buy you whatever they want. Just don't be a jackass on the road with it. That's not age-explicit but trust me, you're going to get comfortable with that car quickly.

I got my first car when I was 17. Before that I learned to drive in a 57 Chevy pickup with manual trans, then my dad's 64 Pontiac Catalina. My dad must have figured I would be safe in a 62 Studebaker Lark. But he didn't know it was the Daytona model with the Avanti 289 V-8 and Borg Warner Super T-10 four speed. That sucker was fast! I beat a 63 Corvette with it, there were very few cars in that day that could keep up with it. My dad never saw the Las Vegas International Speedway decal nor the dumps on it, or I don't think he would have let me spend $500 to buy it.

I echo that it seems a little on the high side for condition and mileage. As for your age, go for it.....my first car was a used 302 69 Camaro at 16 years old. If you were mature enough to earn it (good grades, job, whatever) then you deserve it.

for the mileage it sounds ok, but like others said, being that young and the high cost of repair and owning I would suggest you go for a cheaper less powerfull alternative so that way if you mess it up it will be less out of the pocket.

Back to your question
I got my 2010 2ss/rs with ~15,000miles for $25,000. so those prices might be a little high. dont rush into it and try to see if you can get the prices lower or find other camaros. goodluck
I get it ,they are just warning the urgency of having a muscle car, yes not every young man out there doesn't act like children when it comes to driving but most are and I've seen quite a few "and have issues when
they loose their driving privileges" as if the world is against them. In truth if the parents are comfortable then it really doesn't matter what anyone thinks and for the question at hand it seems average but I'd keep looking.

I'd try and find something with less miles on it.

My insurance is also $415 a month and I have never had a ticket or wreck. Just something to think about

His age doesn't matter. When I was that old I got a 97 z28 with a brand new motor in it, it's how he drives it that matters. Be safe and have fun broski

It may be a little high but over all it's a nice looking ride. I like that color scheme w/ the interior color.

Stay safe.
