Mines is a queen because I will keep the car forever. I want to keep it just like brand new. I still have my 98 Z28 which also sits in the garage during the winter and rain. They both look brand new.

Meh.
I go to school in the Chicago Area most of the year, I DD my car but I don't go out of my way to put it in the snow and salt either. It's not the car I'm worried about, it's the fact that some people just don't know how to drive in snow. It's a blast to drive and I feel since I bought it to enjoy then I'm gonna enjoy it, but I understand why someone would "garage queen" it because it's an investment. No matter what cars I get in the future (and right now I'm lining things up to get one once school is done), I want to preserve the value in this one so when I give it up to my kid one day I can rest assured they're in something reliable that they'll enjoy. |

You answered your own question. It's your DD and you don't have another car.
For those of us that you are referring to, we have a choice on what to drive and when. It's not a matter of how much it cost. It's a matter of common sense and which vehicle is more appropriate for the driving conditions. |

There seems to be three schools of thought on this, each is legit. It doesn't matter which you fall into. No method is more right than another.
1. Can afford more than one car. Camaro is prized possession. Garaging it keeps it pristine. 2. Spent a lot of money on Camaro. Might as well use it to its fullest potential. 3. Can only afford 1 car and it must be a daily driver. No choice.

My car is daily driven in mi in snow. And I park it outside even though I now have a 3 car garage. It will go the entire winter without a wash. Not much choice on the washing part for a vert. It bothered me immensly last winter , but I absolutely hate this car now and I let her know it
But even then I will have the pc out in spring removing the paint damage because that is fun and I do like clean cars. I'm just not going to worry about anymore cause this car is going at first opportunity. Anyone have a dodge dart they want to trade? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk |

Because I can.
It's just another toy for me. Plus when paid for I would like the car to still be worth something.

I keep mine in the garage. Nice and safe. And every morning when I go to work, it is nice an clean as I left it the day before, no morning funk to clean off the windshields, paint is nice and clean, etc. Also I am selfish. My neighbors can only enjoy the view of it when I am coming or going. Hey, if they want to look at a Camaro all day they can buy one, right? :-)
Sidenote: Would the Batmobile look as cool just pulling away all dirty from a driveway it has been parked at all week? No. It looks cool blasting out of the Bat cave clean and dangerous. All cars drive better when they are clean, it makes them happy. ;-)
