Ticking noise...What is it?

I brought my car to the dealer to fix a problem with my passenger seat.

Since then I'm hearing an occasional very faint ticking noise. It sounds kind of like if you were to drop some grains of rice on a marble counter top. It is faint, and seems to most often occur shortly after start up, but not when I'm idle. Seems to happen more often when I'm moving in and out of my parking garage, but also occasionally on the road. Lasts for a few seconds then goes away, sometimes comes back.

Sounds like it is coming from either the center gauge console, or the passenger side somewhere. My first inclination was the passenger seat (since it had been worked on) but I can't recreate the noise by shaking or tapping anywhere on the seat.

Any ideas?

2013 L99.

Thanks

Im not sure if your talking about the exhaust warming up or not but I have the same or almost the same thing, Where about 2 minutes after warming up I hear a tick tick tick tick like some one is tapping on the car with a finger nail but it never comes back for me only happens on start up

Are you sure your not hearing your lifters?

It's not the exhaust warming up (hear that sounds as well), it's more faint than that and sounds like it's coming from the front of the car.

I'm not sure about whether it's the lifters. I understand people have complained about that noise, but from what I understand that noise is a bit louder than what I'm describing?

Thanks any help.

Sorry, does that mean the AC fan? If so no, hear the noise even when that is off.

Could be the ABS I know on my old GMC that the ABS made a ticking noise upon startup while setting itself up. I alsked my local mechanic who is an ex GM mechanic and he said it is normal for the ABS to make a ticking sound when it is warmiong up Next time have someone start it and listen near the ABS unit and see if it is that

Thanks for the suggestions. I haven't yet been able to recreate the noise when idle, so can't tell if it's louder at the engine or not. Makes me think it's something loose and rattling during movement.
