I agree with you on the look situation. The wider tires in the rear definitely adds to the muscle car image......

One of the other things, and I think Jordan you will agree with me, is tire design. We tested in Texas multiple tires and had a significant variations in handling. We will have at least 2 more track sessions and Pedders now has their own SS Camaro to play with. So everyone knows, it is OK to have a difference in philosophies and ideas. PFadt is a great company and has done great things with the Vettes and I respect them a lot. We are different in our approaches sometimes, but at this point, we are talking apples and oranges. Jordan obtained a track neutral feel with sway bars added, and we did it without sway bars. If we compare our setups, I would assume they will be quite different. I do understand the desires to have split wheels and tires. With the Pedders Camaro, we will strive for setups that will go very seriously beyond OE. both of us have obtained this. Thanks Jordan for the info and interchange. You are a gentileman! mike dms |

Is that the basement setting? Will it go any lower? I think I liked the level Hennessey had theirs set at. I'm not saying that doesn't look friggin' bad@$$; just I don't think I can get away with that level around my area :(

Looks bad ass but I'm thinking about 1.5 would be better for DD...

It was set up seriously low like this because a lot of guys have been asking about it and I wanted to show that it could be done. This Camaro is trackable with the settings I put it at in case someone takes it for a serious ride, they will have a very seriously satisfying experience. mike dms |

Now for those that get a little too aggressive with the rear tires and find they do now fit well, our rear Xa coil overs will bring the back end up approximately 1/2 inch higher than OE.

Wow, that 2" drop looks wicked. Nice work Pedders!
I'm not sure if you've posted it yet, but how difficult is the height adjustment procedure on the Xa's?

I see one big advantage a square setup has, especially for a street car and that's the ability to rotate tires to extend tire life. Which is why I plan on getting a square aftermarket rim/tire setup. I also like the idea of the reduction in unsprung weight a square setup has over staggered with huge rear rims/tires.
Jordan your setups seem to be primarily aimed at staggered; are you planning on doing a square package?
