BUT, what they did last year was the best so far. They basically used something pretty close to Open Comp rules in which they gave you three qualifying runs and then dialed your time down .10 to help avoid breakouts (my stupid car still went too fast...but that's another story...ha ha). Then it was basically a bracket set up with 12:00 and slower in one category and 11.99 and faster in the other. They also have had the "Sweet Sixteen" for the fastest 16 cars, or the Quick 8. Not sure what they are planning for this year, but I know they heard the complaints from the year you are speaking of, and have tried to find a system that includes everyone from the stock V6 to the 9 second beasts.

If I could come off the line good with that much PSI it would help on my ET. I've been running 13 PSI 60' stays in the 1.50s. At 13PSI It gets a little squirrely on the big end. But makes for a hell of a launch off the line. LOL Here some pic off line of the track I run at their not real clear. Am going tomorrow will try it with a little more air in them.

What RPMs are you leaving at? I'll blow the tires off on a good cold night if I give it anymore than 1500.

Yeah on my Hoosiers I would run in the 15-17psi range leaving off the trans break at 4200. Best 60' was a 1.48. Usually in the 1.53-1.57 range. They would walk a little on the big end but nothing uncontrollable. I also had tubes and screw in mine. It def helped with making the car more stable in the big end. Might be worth looking into. Also dont have to worry about the tires spinning on the rims too.
When the SS was a six speed I would run around 13psi but was leaving between 6k-6200 rpm and letting the clutch fly!! What a rush that was. Would cut 1.52 to 1.55 all day long.

Over 1500 am pushing on the convertor as hard as I can. On a good night tried 15 PSI and was blowing the tire off. On that pass 10.71 drop to 13 PSI ran my best 10.57 with a 1.53 60'.
Justin that got to be a good rush a 6K plus launch
