What instrument are you playing? I love metal, but I'm not impressed with the sound quality in the Camaro. I feel like it's geared toward... other types of music. My Mazdaspeed3, though, that could rock some metal.

would agree, I had a Alpine and Polk setup in my previous camaro and there is no comparison, miss my old sound system. this system sounds like i am listening to it through a tea bag or something! muddled, lacking precision at higher volumes. the underpowered amp is the biggest problem!

Black Sabbath's Paranoid sounds awesome in my '13 SS with the Boston Acoustics stereo. Another great sounding metal album is Metallica's, And a Justice For All...

Most new recordings are dynamically compressed and sound like ass. You barely have to turn the volume knob up and most new recordings turn into nothing but distortion (i.e Metallica's Death Magnetic). These compressed recordings sound like ass on even the best audiophile stereos.

*Note: When I refer to compression I'm referring to dynamic range compression (see the Loudness Wars on YouTube) not the file compression that takes place for format conversion.

I play classic rock in mine... although sabbath does occasionally make its way into the rotation. Mostly Zeppelin and others from that era though.

It's always good to expand my music.

As a music guy, please consider this. Your band might not think everything you record is good enough to make the "perfect" album, but nothing is ever good enough for a great artist. Do your fans a favor and try what Linkin Park has done. Release fan-oriented short albums filled with demos and remixes every once and a while. Even if they're all instrumental or the lyrics are repetitive, give your fans something new with your name on it to let them consume your product. It will keep them looking out for something new.

The OP belongs to a metal band in the original post. My advise is to regularly release non-album content to fans. How is that confusing?

Here's a wiki covering the Linkin Park content I mentioned.

Also, you're in Leavenworth with an Alabama avatar. Consider correcting yourself.

I'm not correcting anything... I'm temporarily in Kansas, but I am FROM Alabama. How is that confusing?

Thanks for checking it out guys! I had to turn the bass up a bit in the Bose system to get it more to my liking, but over its 100x better than my truck.
