HOW FAST CAN A BOLT ON ONLY GEN5 RUN THE 1/4 mile?? 11.45 @117.81 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I've been on a mission this year to finally lay down a great all out pass that I knew my car would do. I called up Rhino (Mr L99) and asked him to look at a datalog and work his magic on my VVT tables. They had been previously set to stock. I told him what I thought the shift points should be, we bounced ideas back and forth and came up with a game plan. He sent me a tune file, and then off to ADM I went to test it out on the dyno. Immediately it picked up about 2hp and 2tq. Then Andy tweaked the A/F some and did some slight adjustments. The results were an additional 4hp and 4tq. 379.84hp and 403.45tq

So now i knew it was dialed and off to Baytown I went. It's a 5hour drive for me but my 1st pass I got in line early and kept all things perfect.
Car dead hooked with a best 1.53 60ft, it went straight down the track, and felt great! 11.45 @117.81 BOLT ONS ONLY WITH ALL STOCK INTERNALS! And -600 DA

The rest of the night again was littered with oildowns so I was unable to take advantage of the better air!

. I was at the track last night with TRW/Terry he ran very well also. You and him are at the TOP of the list maybe for a while

Great !!! run for bolt-ons only. Have you shed a lot of weight from the car to run that quick?

WOW, I need you to tutor me. I have about 100 more RWHP and my best is only a tenth faster. Rhino is my tuner as well.

Impressive and congrats. Share your complete list of mods and anything that was removed so more L99's can get into the 11's with bolt ons.

See Terry isn't the only L99 to run mid-low 11s

And they aren't factory freaks either just all in the setup and tune.

We need to run side by side that way we both have the same DA and then it's a real King of the Hill!! It will end up a drivers race! .005 and enough on a heads up race. Either way, both our cars are killing it.
