I understand it. This just reminded me of production being suspended when the market was already flooded with 1LE's and ZL1's sitting in the dead of winter. The logic didn't make sense to say you can't order because of the tires but you can buy one off the lot.

There is a Maserati/Ferrari dealer up the street from me, their cars are often sitting out in the snow, weather happens.

As mentioned, the car isn't as "high end" as you keeping making it out to be.
It is a Chevy, not a Ferrari.

Most of their pickups (and all of the Suburbans and Tahoes) on that that lot are in the same price range.
Are they supposed to bring all of them inside too?

Like I said if I owner a dealership I would take some pride in my business.
Snow happens. The car would be fine. Snow melts...The car doesnt. Don't forget to bring your car in tonight from outside and tuck it in to bed. Remember to burp it first.

Alright you win. I just take pride in keeping my vehicles relatively clean and not keep 4 feet of snow drifted up against it. Just my opinion. Sorry if I offended anyone with it.

Tough crowd, lol. Drive it like you stole it. Clean it and drive it like you stole it again. Otherwise you will stroke out.

Guys the OP has clarified for you that this was not 'normal' rust such as we see routinely, but rust which may be a problem. If you purchased a new ZL-1 and you found out later that the rotors had been turned before you purchased the car, I hope you wouldn't say "well, dude, just a car, whatevs" to the dealership.

While you're busily making fun of the guy, you're missing the details. And before you tell me "it's a car dude, stop worshipping it", from '89 to '97 I was driving a muscle car built in 1969 24/7, 12 months a year as my DD, and these days I drive my LS3 24/7 12 months a year, so check yourself. Who here has daily driven a classic car through 8 winters? Me, if nobody else. I'm an expert on rust, trust me!

I trust him, 8 winters, I think I'm on my 4th winter. Before I die, I want to drive in 8 winters. I'm trying.. If the OP would have seen my car Saturday morning he would have cried his eyes out, $9 wash, ALL BETTER!! The Porsche dealer in Princeton Nj has 8 $100,000 cars 10 feet from RT 1 covered in snow, salt from the road. No RESPECT!
