The Porsche dealer in Princeton Nj has 8 $100,000 cars 10 feet from RT 1 covered in snow, salt from the road. No RESPECT!
You didn't understand a single thing I posted, but you still feel it's appropriate to make fun of me. What exactly did you not understand? Was it simply not understanding how to read first and comment second?

I said my classic muscle car. Learn to read. I didn't tell you I have been driving for a total of eight years, so you need to listen to me. I told you: Classic car for eight winters. They rust. Badly. They are expensive to restore. Me: Been there, long haul, over twenty years. Done that. Me: understand about rusting cars in the winter. real rust. Rust that started before I was born. You: don't understand that an old car owner knows what rust really is. Snow bad. Salt, bad. Me: drives anyway, car one of 3549 made ever, in 1969. Can't go to Buick and get another one, for any amount of money. Didn't bother me to subject it to snow and salt and weather. And FYI: that 9 bucks doesn't "make it all better". Luckily new cars are built better than old ones but clean paint doesn't mean: salt gone.

In any case, I never said that the ZL-1 was suffering. I said the OP made a point about the level of rust he saw that nobody caught. You're missing the entire point of what I posted but based on your ability to shoot your mouth off without knowing what was said, I'm not surprised.

Why can't we all just get along.
And agree that winter in the Midwest really sucks, especially this winter. It brings out the salt trucks...and the worst in all of us.

I didn't intend for this to start WWIII. I may have been a little vague in my OP. I'm from northern indiana, I've seen snowy vehicles my entire life. In my OP I said I got out to look, well that's because there was an unusual amount of snow plowed up against this poor car. That much plowed up against any car for that length of time is bad IMO, idc if it's a zl1 or not.

most dealers do not have enough "showroom" space to keep all their cars in. I went to Hendricks chevy here in Kansas city today, the there are a bunh of new vettes, even 2014 vette convertibles sittiing outside with a ZL1 and several new camaro SS verts, and many 2013 vettes, some verts also. they get hammered with snow, ice, and what not, but they are cars and that is expected, a car will get all that. as long as no damage like hail, they will clean up all ok. my camaro was new, but a year old build with rusty roters, but she cleaned up real nice when i took delivery.

What is the problem with snow on the car? Does it damage the paint or something?

Negative, no problem. I think OP is saying high end inventory should be kept out of inclement weather.

The owner!

Crack the screen on a new tv while taking it home from best buy and it's on you.

While you're busily making fun of the guy, you're missing the details. And before you tell me "it's a car dude, stop worshipping it", from '89 to '97 I was driving a muscle car built in 1969 24/7, 12 months a year as my DD, and these days I drive my LS3 24/7 12 months a year, so check yourself. Who here has daily driven a classic car through 8 winters? Me, if nobody else. I'm an expert on rust, trust me!
An expert wouldn't compare the rust properties of a vehicle made in 1969 to one manufactured in 2013. No way a 2013 vehicle has anymore than surface rust on rotors.
