And it couldn't a done that much to the camaro...

Then again, you have money

All coupes have large doors. If your used to a 4 door it will feel different to you as well.
old school!

We all may have to put a Caution sign on the dash.

Instead they just open all the way really fast to the fully extended position.
Just got home from dinner and my dumb azz friend let the door fly open into my other car in the garage so now my camaro has a chip in the passenger side door edge & my mercedes has a new door dent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah the same thing happened to me. Except it was my fault. I opened it halfway but as I was getting out I hit it by accident softly but it was enough to have it fly open very fast. It hit my old Mustang and left a bright orange dent in my Mustangs door.. It also scratched off all the paint where it hit on my Maro but you can't tell when the door is closed.. Now I really watch it when I get out...

Do you think there is anyway to make them stick open at the first notch in a better way than from the factory?
I would like to know as well..

I think you're right, but you really should see the doors on my Impreza. I'd post it, but I'm so sick of looking at it that I can't bring myself to go outside to shoot pictures of it. Additionally, now driving it comes with a loud grinding that seems to be coming from the breaks or wheels.

JMO my vette doors flew open much easier (the fact they are made of plastic helped), I haven't noticed anything funny about these doors....

Yeah i do actually remember how heavy the doors were on all the late 70's camaros my friends used to have!!! Most american made coupes all were. But for the most part all the many cars i've owned over the last 20 or so years have had more of a notch for the doors to stay open at in the half open position and then again at the almost fully open position (like 7/8's open) without just winging 100% open with just a little push!
Morale of the story: I'll be ultra careful and i now gotta watch and warn any front passengerss gettin out too...................

As hard as it hit, I expected to get to the other side to find a good sized dent. The boy had closed the door by then and we actually had to open his door slowly toward my car to see where it had hit. Right on one of the shark fin creases. We still had to get really close to see if there was any damage. It was so minimal that Steve didn't see it. I could barely see it but there is an ever so slight spot where the metal just kind of dips. No chipped paint. I didn't say anything about it but just played it off like there was no damage at all. I went back the next day to look at it and it took me a while to find it. It's sooooo slight that I even question wether it's there or not. lol

So this is nothing new to the F-Bod cars.

Sounds like a perfect place to get hit! (of course, no place is always preferred )

That's good that it happened somewhere that is not noticeable though. Makes it so much less painful

I can be careful, but it's going to be a pain -not to mention how anal you sound- when you tell your passenger -Hey, open the door slowly or it will swing out and damage the car next to it, and I don't want to pay for that-

sigh

I don't think "it's an fbod" is an excuse. They coulda fixed it by now.
