I will buy that Nissan. That's a retro model. You might be too young.

True, but I'm talking about modern cars. Nissan today has a consistent lineup of hideous looking cars. No other car company comes close, IMO.
Yes, I'll say Nissan cars are built well but their designs are another story....

Wow I cant believe the hate for the looks of those concepts I think they look great and I think the original 510 looks good too. Looks are very subjective and those concepts got a great reception when they were shown as well. They look better than mostly what is in Nissan lineup right now but Nissans aren't known for their beauty anyways. I hope they keep pushing these unique designs that grab attention and sell.

Maybe the clean, understated Honda Vezel is more your style!

I'll take the Nismo version... but these concepts may not reach production status anyway. According to Nissan the IDx Freeflow and Nismo models will not foreshadow a production one, as they are only a case study. IMO cool cars though... by designers that penned this with heritage lines yet don't design with a narrow mind.

A car can be hideous and sell well. Juke, Cherokee, and the '14 Camaro are all hideous and sell well.

That just made no sense whatsoever. Hideous cars don't sell well. The Juke sells well because it looks good and tends to what people need. Cherokee sells good because it looks good and is a new car. '14 Camaro looks good, but it doesn't sell well because the 5th gen is an old car. Period.

Hideous cars do sell well when people don't know what to look for and let consumer reports buy their cars for them. The Cherokee is ugly, but it sells well because it gets good gas mileage, has a powerful engine, and is mildly capable off road, unlike most of the cars in its segment. The '14 Camaro is selling on par for the segment so

Hell, almost every Porche in existence is hideous, but they sell well for their segments and they drive well.

Name some hideous cars that sell well. And I mean cars that are legit hideous. Not hideous in the eyes of a guy with a Camaro. If a car isn't good, it doesn't sell well. You can't say that people don't care about looks. The Pontiac Azteck was hideous and what do you know? It didn't sell very well. I know what to look for, and the Juke is a very well put together car. No complaints here from someone who actually has one in the family of cars.
