...I'm just long in the tooth, bitter and jaded. For those today with the expendable income who are on the up side, it's the car to get. It's a bad ass ride, I just can't swing it, and I wanted it. But, I have something in my garage that's makes me happy. The Z monikor is different, but it's a keeper and I shall accept the fact. It still has the giddy up and go factor thats insane, but this new Camaro Z/28 is made of stuff in epic proportions to go flat out. And it will be a true brass ring on the Chevy merry go round ride to obtain.

And lest we forget: thanks to the Z/28, a ZL1 can now be driven off a GM dealer lot with Recaro seats and Z/28 rims/rubber |

Holy CRAP! That seems like entirely too much for a Camaro, especially considering the entry price of the new Corvette Stingray.

How much would it cost you to build one to compete with this Z/28?
Why are some here trying to hamper the rest of us enthusiast from experiencing the most track focused Camaro ever offered from the factory? Is it only because it does not fit in some folks idea of what a high performing Camaro should be or what price boundary it should reside in? Just be found of the model that you can afford to enjoy and take pride in ownership and let the rest of us who may or may not have the means but surely do have the desire to lust after our TWO halo models, ZL1 & Z/28, I know I will. I'm not liking the fact that car prices as a whole are much higher as compared to the past 30 plus years but thats what it is and we cannot change that. We should not discriminate against the Camaro lineup for having a high end halo model this generation due to it not having such a price point like this in its past but we also did not have a model like this in the Corvette lineup until the ZR1 model made its debut either. Things evolve, so should we. We all will be better for it.

Oh? So not OEM. In that case, you can drive away from some Chev dealers with BBSs and Hoosiers, too.
Since you're the picker of nits, perhaps you, as well, should fully explain what some may construe as erroneous and misleading information... Thanks. |

No, fully GM OEM. If a Z/28 guy/gal damages a rim they buy a replacement wheel at a GM dealer and that's still considered OEM - isn't it? It is GM, so, OEM and not BBS, CCW or another aftermarket firm.
