That depends on the number of wobbly pops consumed during dinner.

This also sounds reasonable to me.

So bad news....I'm not going to be able to make it to the cruise. I volunteer for the Syncrude Boreal Open PGA Canada golf tournament and I am in charge of Operations (set-up/tear down) for the tournament. It is the weekend after the cruise, however set-up begins the weekend before which is right when the cruise is so I will not be able to make it to the cruise.

That sucks, but understandable! See you next year or maybe at the bc/alberta cruise?

I am posting the details here and I will start a new Thread in the next few days to keep track of everyone

The 5th Annual “Alberta” Cruise will be held on June 14, 2014.

Edmonton Camaros will be meeting at Gateway Park https://maps.google.ca/maps?q=edmont...berta&t=h&z=20 just south of Edmonton on the QE II (Highway 2) at 8:00AM, leaving Edmonton 8:30AM.

Calgary Camaros will be meeting at the Davenport, 1530 Aviation Rd NE Calgary, www.davenportmotorsports.com, at 7:30AM, leaving Calgary at 8:30AM.

All Camaros will be meeting in Red Deer at the Costco/Staples parking lot - 162, 37400 Hwy 2 - 10:00AM - 10:30AM. We will be leaving Red Deer at 10:45AM and driving to Rocky Mountain House, which is about an hour away.

The Chevrolet dealership in Rocky Mountain House, Edwards Chevrolet, www.edwardsgarage.com, will once again be offering beef on a bun for our group at no charge or possibly a small donation to a charity, we are still working out the details. They will have some door prizes and will use the event to promote the Camaro and their dealership. We will be departing from Rocky Mountain House at 1:30PM(Sharp).

Rocky Mountain House to Saskatchewan Crossing is about 190km, with three stops at Abraham Lake for photos, the Park gates and Saskatchewan Crossing to stretch your legs. Each stop will be approx. 20 - 30 minutes, this will keep us all together. For those heading north from Saskatchewan Crossing, Jasper is about 155km, with some great stops like the Columbia Ice Fields along the way. For the majority of us that are heading south, Banff is about 135km, with a stop at Lake Louise.

For those headed to Jasper:

We do not have a designated hotel, last year we used the Marmot Lodge, 86 Connaught Drive, Jasper, AB, which proved to be adequate. www.mpljasper.com/hotels/marmot_lodge/

For those headed to Banff:

We have once again been able to arrange “Preferred Rates” at the Douglas Fir Resort & Chalet, 525 Tunnel Mountain Rd, www.douglasfir.com. There is no date in which you have to book before to get the special rate, however, all rooms are based on availability, so book early to avoid disappointment. You can start booking anytime, directly with the hotel at either (403) 762-5591 or 1-800-661-9267, Reference #ABCC14. The following prices are for June 14th, 2014:

Room Type Regular Rates Preferred Rates
Studio Suite - Main Lodge
(Max occupancy 4) $185.00 $151.25
One Bedroom Condo
(Max occupancy 4) $209.00 $177.65
Loft in Lodge
(Max occupancy 6) $239.00 $203.15
One Bedroom Loft Condo
(Max occupancy 6) $269.00 $228.65

Children 16 years and under stay free when sharing with an adult. Above rates are a per night rate and based on 2 adults in a room. Extra adults are $20 per person per night. Rates do not include applicable taxes. In addition to the discounted rooms above, you may also be interested in their Two and Three Bedroom A Frame Chalets! Rates for the Chalets start at $275.00 a night, plus applicable taxes. Their cancellation policy is 48 hours – any cancellations made within 48 hours of arrival will be charged a fee of 1 night room and tax.

We have booked Chili’s Grill & Bar, 461 Banff Ave, for 7:45pm for a group dinner and we will have their full menu. Seating will be in groups of 10-12 in the same area.

Sunday - June 15, 2014 - Father's Day – We have booked the Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre in Canmore, AB from 10:30am - noon, as we did in 2012. The room is a private set-up at no additional charge, we can get their brunch buffet from 10:00am - 2:00pm at $21.95, kids are $11.00 or breakfast buffet from 6:30am - 11:00am for $14.00, kids $7.00, your choice but you must arrive on time. The room holds about 25 people, plus they can accommodate more if we need.

As always, all "Camaros" and "Firebird F-Body cousins" are welcome!

TIPS
- Please book your rooms early to avoid sell outs;

- Fuel-up in Rocky Mountain House or Red Deer;

- Park Pass or have $20.00 cash ready for the park gates.

Booked. I was quoted $157, not $151, and it was $349 after taxes for two nights. Can't wait!

I'm assuming the cruise will start Saturday? Unless you're going to go to Banff Friday, and meet us Saturday morning in Calgary?

The cruise is on the 14th, the Douglas Fir is just offering rates for the 13th and 14th. I will get rid of the 13th date just to avoid further confusion
