I vinyl wrapped mine gloss black to accent the satin black of the car. Came out amazing.

sorry to thread jack, but for those that painted them, did you scuff the chrome first or just clean/degrease and use adhesion promoter? also, did you use a primer and how many coats of paint? thanks

Adhesion promoter first, primer second, couple coats, finally black paint, few coats.

When I plasti_diped mine all I did was wash then with dish soap and let dry.
