I can tell you what not to get...Nitto NT05 (street tire version...not drag radial). Even in a 315 I can't hook these. Now, you may be 100% fine up to like 500whp with them though. All depends on your plan. I've just about come to the conclusion the only way I'll be able to flog this car on the street is on some MT's.

OK boys, tires 101 from someone who has been through many sets at only 25Kish.

Michelin PSS run wider than Nitto's.
PSS's really stick.
Nitto Invo's are decent for the price, PSS' are better.
Pirelli's, don't make me laugh. I went through those in less than 10K.

Width on rims, you can go as wide as you want if the backspacing is right.
I am running 10"/285 in the front and 11.5/315 in the rear for my track tires.

What tire will fit on what rim does depend on manufacturer. If you read the specs on the manufacturer's web page it will say the recommended size rim you need for their tires.

If you want the best rims get the lightest you can afford. The best are Forgeline, CCW, HRE off the top of my head but you pay for it.

If you read the reviews of the PSS on this site you will not find anyone complaining about them, they are worth the money IMHO. I can break loose my street Invo's with ease, the PSS are much more difficult to break loose.

Bottom line, BUY THE PSS!

If they were crap then why are they standard equipment on the new vettes? Hmmmmmmm.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my next
Track fix.

Tire questions:

I put too many miles on my car as a DD to get PSS's or Invos.

I was looking at Motivos, are those better than pirellis?

And should I get 245/45 or 255/35 or 255/45 for the front?

Running stock RS rims until I get new wheels next year.

Correct me if im buying terrible tires lol, im not all that experienced in tires.

PSS' are a 300 treadwear rating. If you don't abuse them they should last a long time, longer than the Invo's.

Here is SoCal's review of them. HE has been all over the country to run AutoX in his car and he loves them.

I am getting a chubby just looking at them.

I mean, damn, just look at these.

What I would do for a set of these......

One of the wheel guys or even JDP can probably get them less than list though.

They grip pretty well on the street. I doubt they will grip as well as PSS's but they aren't $400/tire either. They have a 520 TRW so they should last a LONG time. The main reason I got them was because they do everything pretty well. They stick pretty well in warm weather, slice through rain like it isn't there, and even handles the snow well. The best thing I could say about the P zero's is that they were round.
