Thinking about the switch...
Thinking about the switch from my 2010 Camaro SS to the Stingray. Quite the price difference, but quite the difference in the car, too. Anyone else make that same switch? I have been in and around the new Stingray a few times and it is AMAZING. I hope everyone is enjoying theirs!

I owned a 2005 C6 and a 2008 C6 Z51. When it came time to replace the 2008, I bought a 2012 2SS Convertible in 1969 pace car colors. Very happy with it but, yes, it is not a Corvette.
So I ordered a 3LT M7 Z51 Coupe. I will be happy with the Camaro until I get the new corvette, but I do not regret my decision. You are right. The Camaro is a great car, but it's not a corvette. |

Thinking about the switch
Do it, do it, do it. I sold my 2010 Camaro (for really good money) in October and took delivery of a C7 just before Christmas. I missed the Camaro until the morning I picked up the C7. All I had to do was hit that start button the first time and I was hooked. No regrets whatsoever.

i had a few payments left on my 2010 Camaro SS when I traded it for the Stingray. I loved the Camaro, but you can tell the quality gap the first time you drive the Stingray. Not to mention, everywhere you look, there is a Camaro these days.

2011 SS to the Stingray here.
No regrets and it is amazing the difference you will notice right away. (as mentioned above.) Worth every penny. as you see by the pics below I had A LOT of mods done to the Camaro. I don't intend to do near as much to the Corvette so it is going to end up being LESS expensive for me.

Thanks for the replies, folks.
bowtie- Thats the way I think I will be. However, I just HOPE I get some good money for the Camaro. I wouldn't mind putting a feeler out there to get an idea, but I think NADA and KBB give me enough of an idea. Time will tell... jrock- I can tell the quality gap just sitting in the thing let alone driving it. And you are not kidding... the Camaro is seen EVERYWHERE now. Not such an exclusive thing like it was when I first picked it up. GB EB- Sweet looking Camaro you had there. But, I know you are very happy with the Stingray! That thing looks gorgeous with the F-18 in the back. What do you do for the Navy? I am thinking come Summer it will be time to get the new ride. It will be sad to see the SS go because it is my baby... but as mentioned, I think I will say "what SS" when I take the Stingray around the block. I need to find somewhere to get a good deal (if that is possible right now) as well.

I had a 2010 2SS and switched to the Stingray. Nite and day difference. Yeah, in price too...good luck. It's well worth it.

Very nice. I saw the 2220 (sticker) on the windshield but couldn't see the color to see if you were mil or civi. I hope you are enjoying working with the Navy! They appreciate it I am sure.

I am Camaro-less for the first time in 4 years and I don't miss them. I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my Z51 Stingray.

I had a 2010 Camaro SS and I took it into the dealership Saturday for my trade in. My father purchased a Stingray and received his in October. Once I drove it, I knew there was no going back. Now I wait anxiously to get mine. Hopefully sometime this week! But I can tell you there is no comparison of the two cars. GM hit the nail on the head with this car!

As I figured, everyone thinks it is a great idea. Ha ha. I think that is because it is a great idea!
What were people getting for their trade in of their Camaro? I am worried about getting bent over on the trade so I may try a private sale first.

I got $53k out of my '13 ZL1 when I traded it in and ordered my Stingray.
I got $29.5k out of my '11 2SS/RS when I traded for my ZL1. I got $19.5k for my '12 2LS when I traded it in for my Sonic and walked away with $4800 cash in my pocket. I got an "even up" trade for my '10 LT/RS when I got my Cruze LT/RS. It depends on your dealership. If you do a lot of business, you'll get better deals.
