2012 zl1 front brake pads

has anyone had front brakes seizing after getting them wet then putting it back into the garage on a 2012 zl1. first time it had to go to the gm dealer for new pads now it has happened each time i wash it then put back in the garage. I live on the west coast if that has any bearing.Sean

Mine is an early 13 and when I wash it I put it back in the garage, but as soon as I drive it they clean themselves very quickly, no issues.

I had that happen with my '13 ZL1; now I just make sure the pads and rotors are dry before parking. Usually, I just drive a short distance and apply the brakes a few times; up and down the driveway a couple times is usually sufficient.

Saw a mention of this in the Owners Manual and yes it has happened to me. Won't hurt anything. Just don't put it away wet!

After any washing I'll always reverse the car in the driveway (slight downward angle) and apply the brakes soft at almost a 1/4 rotation but never let up... then put up in the garage and continue with the air-dry. I spend a good amount of time around the wheels and the calipers. (And with that have not had that momentary 1st time lock/stick when you take the car out next time).
