There could be an LT2 with 500 HP??? I agree no FI for the Z/28 or Z28. I think that is now understood. The 1LE is too successful therefore it WILL return. The LT4 is perfect for the ZL1. My concern is will they move too far from the 5Gen look? A forward evolution would be the right thing to do. A revolutionary design would be very risky.

I'm hoping we see a "mid-range" (between LT1 and LT4 in hp rating) engine...for a C7 GS (Z51+) AND, of course, the Z/28...

So is that the ZL1 or the Z/28? There are 3 clear model choices with 3 VERY distinct engine options. At least what appears to be the near future, there will be only 2. So does the NG Z/28 end up being the 1LE of the current generation? We shall see.
There is a major quandry of powerplant versus model issue going forward. I agree wholeheartedly with you. You are spot on Number 3.

For Lowdown. I still can't believe there's not a "1" in front of the selling price.

Too close to Camaro size and proportions. Not sure there is room for that and a Camaro these days.

Remember the good ole' days of Corvette, Chevelle, Camaro, Monte Carlo, Impala, and Vega. Gone! Poof! Only 2 coupes now.

Yeah, when and why did people get practical about cars? When I was a kid nobody, but grandmothers had 4 doors.

I think Hendrick bought it. And, if so, he paid $70K more for it than he paid for the genuine Sox & Martin '68 HemiCuda which was arguably a more famous car, although Strickler's was that year's Super Stock World Champ.

BOTH were "well bought" in my estimation...

One of the coolest "sleepers" any of our friends bought was a co-worker of my brother's, who custom-ordered a '70 Biscayne 4-dr with the Exterior Décor Package (body side and chrome window trim mouldings), H70X15 whitewalls on Rally Wheels, F41 Sport Suspension...and 454-390 hp/Turbo 400/3.31 posi. That car ran low-mid 14's as a Pure Stock and got 20 miles to the Imp. gallon...and carried up to 10 people to the Drive-In on "carload night"!!! Three in the trunk!!!!

True story...he STILL owns it...

I've seen that rendering quite a few times and it still doesn't say Chevelle to me. Maybe I'm biased because of my 70 but that doesn't look like a Chevelle at all. I wouldn't want a future Chevelle to have the corporate grille either. If they bring back the Chevelle, it needs to be retro like the Camaro. An updated 70 would be awesome but I don't see it happening. The halo Chevelle would more than likely be slower than the halo Camaro if they were to share engines. That is, unless the Chevelle got the Corvette engines without any detuning.
