CEL came on after headers install

Just installed BBK shorties on my L99 2 days ago by a professional shop. Which had Solo Performance hi-flow cats and Borla axle back installed previously. Never had CEL....until today. :0( I was under the impression that shorties won't trigger CEL. What went wrong? I checked all connections and checked if everything was bolted thightly...no leaks and all connections appears to be fine. I love the exhaust note and I could definitely feel a boost in power. Car feels lighter at launch.... any suggestions?

Have you read the code for the CEL? If so, post it up so that you can get better assistance from the knowledgeable folks here at Camaro5.

No. But I'm thinking its a cats efficiency code... can't use remote start as well...

I don't have remote start, but I'm guessing GM put an interlock in place that would disable the remote start feature with a CEL, regardless of the code. Makes sense to me. The only way that you will get it to go away permanently is either get it tuned (offending codes turned off) or put the factory cats back in place. ( I know, NOT AN OPTION )

Never had a CEL with just my Hi flow cats on. After installing the BBK shorties that's when I saw the CEL... O2 sensor issue perhaps? Do I take it back to the shop and have them check?

Did the sensors on the solos get banged around....I have jba shorties with solo hi flows....no cel. Maybe the sensors were hit or damaged during install.
