I appreciate the offer IRPQ11 but will have to respectfully decline. No issues with horsepower here.

The clutch feels like it has no forgiveness at all. The car only has 362 miles on it. I hope someone can shed some light on this.
like you i have alway had mannual transmission... and i do not like these new type clutchs.... older clutch where mechanic... it that you push in the the clutch pedel and moved the bearing.... you could ride the clutch and feel the clutch... now with the slave clutch you feel nothing ,, the clutch is in or out with nothing inbetween.... i am with you give us back the mechanic clutch

You need to follow the manual and complete the break-in period. With all due respect there is a reason they put it in the book. They have made a lot of cars for a long time.

If you're thinking of selling a brand new car after 362mi, the problem is not the car. Follow the instructions and advice of experienced drivers. Be aware that cars may not have peak performance numbers instantly. If you didn't already know that, then you know now that patience is part of owning a new car.

Wait until the break-in period has finished and if you still don't like how it shifts, then do something about it.

No but I don't need to own one to master the mechanical aspects of the vehicle. I know every nut and bolt on the car.

took me about 3 days to get used to the clutch. Now it feels great and grabs in the same spot everytime. Very happy with the gearbox in this car.

At least you got a manual... My friend has the AUTO thinking it would be better for drag racing and it's a real slush box he was pretty upset when both of my cars beat him in the 1/4 every time...

The clutch pad is like a giant brake pad. The materials expand and contract. And you have a high performance powerplant and sticky irs + tires on the back. This generates a lot of energy. Remember your energy is being converted to heat.

As you drive the clutch pad will develop a seating with the pressure plate. In addition you should know American V8 -V8 RWD manuals are just little different from foreign or fwds so the travel is a bit different if your used to other brands.

ssarrival,

I don't know if you are interested in this, but if you read this thread where pedders takes delivery:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34497

They are verifying with GM if the LS7 clutch is a direct replacement. I think you could certainly change it out with some aftermarket clutch. That may be more than you're willing to do. Just a suggestion.
