What Cat-back. Is quiet enough?

Hey guy's. I'm running Pfadt Lth's and I need a cat-back system that will quiet it down for the track. There is a track noise limit of 101db. I am currently running a muffler delete and I love the sound and how loud it is but I need to quiet it down.

The Kooks "sleeper" system is just a tick louder than stock (until you get to 5000+ RPM). It's a 2.5" system that bolts up the same as the factory system.

Here's a video of it on the dyno:

I'd recommend the Magnaflow Comp series Cat-back Part # 15307. This system will be quieter than your current setup, but still be pretty aggressive and have a nice low tone.

Please feel free to call, PM or email me with questions.

Best regards,

Do you guys think the Corsa would be quiet enough. I love the sound it makes.

Its got an awesome tone, but quiet at high RPMs it is not.I have corsa catback and when revving up my engine I had 126DB with Kooks longtubes and no cats. At normal cruising it is pretty quiet, but i really like how you can punch it and it sounds awesome.

I don't know if this vid will work but here is my car.

corsa can be loud with longtubes at high rpm.... prob not what you want.

I really like the sound of stock mufflers with a xpipe and longtubes.

For the money-Doug Thorley 85423 Catback. I have it, and it is quiet!

Did you actually get flagged at the track?

An x pipe would help. Just swap the h pipe section for a magnoflow x pipe and it deadens what you got.

Do you have cats?

Or buy mufflers.

I don't think a cat back is going to solve the noise problem. I don't know of one cat back exhaust that is meant to be quieter than stock.

If you're running around with long tubes, no cats, and no mufflers that's retarded loud.

I asked because it seems most tracks have some leniancy. Personally I'd have to be flagged before I went about changing something
