Noweeds & Headers on a ZL1

Does anyone have this setup? I currently have the Noweeds diverters on my ZL1 and am getting ready to add headers (most likely Stainless Works) with high flow cats, and I wanted to find out if there would be any fitment issues. From the pictures I have seen, and from looking at my current setup, it looks like it should all bolt up just fine. I'm interested to find out if anyone has experience with this setup and how the install went.

I'd also love to get your thoughts on the sound with the diverters open and closed.

Thanks!

Will work fine, the cutouts add the sound of a unrefined cat back when there opened, and retain the factory humble silent rumble when closed.

Go for it you wont regret it even the slightest.

It's gonna be loud, that's for sure. I have just HF cats and QTP cutouts and it is embarrassingly loud at WOT. With the addition of headers, you should be scaring children and old ladies when you go WOT.

It will also make you want to speed and hear that engine scream. I find it hard to drive my car with them closed unless im on the highway for long periods of time.

I highly suggest it.

I like the fact that occasionally I get to ask what seems like incredibly stupid questions here.

What is noweeds?

Its a exhaust Dump/ Cutout system that is mounted on your exhaust to bypass mufflers/resonators ect.
Go to there website for full details

Noise, I cant help from now gunning it atleast once everytime I take her out. Its addicting.

Pollution ah, not something that worries me

As mentioned above, it's an exhaust cutout system. NOWEEDS is the brand and it stands for No Weld Exhaust Diverters. It's not the cheapest cutout system, but it's extremely high quality and is worth the price IMO. Plus since it's a no weld system, it can be done quickly and easily in your garage with simple tools.

Thanks for the comments guys. I know it will be stupid loud at WOT, it already is without headers. I mainly will run it full open at the track to squeeze out every bit of power.

I would love some video if you have one Slingshot!

I've got my PFADT headers to add to my NoWeeds setup with the offroad connection pipes. I'll be installing either this weekend or next.

That's great. I will be interested in hearing how the install goes. I'm getting ready to order my headers, so it may be a few weeks before I get mine installed.

The Noweeds is not an exhaust system, it basically opens up your pipes after the cats so you are dumping your exhaust prior to the mufflers. Being able to open and close them allows you to control how loud or quiet the car is. With the system closed, it's no different than the stock setup. WIth them open, it's like running straight pipes. Here is a video of PQ's car that Noweeds has on their YouTube channel demonstrating the system.
