PETROL

Can we all say which Supplier : Fuel we use or prefer... Thx

V6 : ESSO : Regular Unleaded

This is what I'm investigating after changing supplier and I wondered what Supplier turns out to be best for our UK based Camaro5's ??

I used any branded regular unleaded. Never felt any noticable difference, whichever was used. Just thankful that the V6 didn't have to use super unleaded, like the V8s...........says the man who's just bought a 6 litre W12 car rated at 17 mpg....

Always Super - I try and avoid sh*t brands if possible. Shell if I can get it but there's not one within 1/2 an hour of me.

Cheers Guys ... I'm going to move up to Premium Unleaded for a while.

Even thought the V6 is not programmed to get performance benefits from it, the V6 Forum consider the quality + additives to be worthwhile...

Just remember where these cars were built! Worst fuel ever over there so save your money! If you do change fuel, do the fuse pull or it really is just a waste of money as the fuel map will be for the worst fuel thats ever been in the car since the last pull or flat battery!

The fuel in USA and Canada is just as good as the fuel in Europe. The thought of the fuel beeing bad "over there" is a common misconception.

Fuel in the states is worse, don't look at the octane rating on the pump, as 98 over here is not 98 over there!
I can buy fuel off an American air base over here, a lot cheaper, but its' not good at all. My car does not like it! So i stick to UK fuel, regular not premium. Fine on a standard Map, but nothing stays standard on thee cars for long!

There's not much in it, but if you tune your car it soon shows up the difference.

For all those using premium fuel, you should get further per tank, i did but not enough to warrant the extra cost.

UK fuel is very good, not sure about Sweden, but i can vouch it's far Superior to Spain and France! When i lived in Spain i used to treck to GIB for fuel, got an extra 50 miles out of the tank and the car was 8/10's of second quicker to 60, plus it was 40p a litre there

Thanks both, for all reasons :-)

V6 does not recognise a Fuze Pull or *Battery Disconnect for the Fuel system ... I believe? ??

I did that* about 3 weeks ago when I installed my Ported Throttle Body.
