4 wheel drive for winter car

My '70 Buick served well through seven winters, all with plenty of snow. I thought my dad's '84 Bronco II was just about perfect, in RWD or 4WD, for snow. I only needed the 4WD once.

I will throw a word in for a used honda ridgeline, had mine for 8 yrs and with awd and traction control its great in bad weather.
plus roomy cab and a trunk lol
resale value is very good tho so it might pricier than what you are looking for.

I take my wife's RAV4 V6 AWD over my Suburban 4x4 in the snow. It just does better. Small SUV/CUV's are where it's at.

Agree the Ridgeline is a great vehicle, I sold mine last year and it is one of the most practice vehicles I've ever owned. But, with the kids grown up and gone to post secondary I didn't need practice anymore. It was nicer than my Murano for carrying stuff and usefulness but didn't ride or handle as well.
