Talking VMAX Ported TB Installed

This morning i installed my vmax tb. Must admit it was a very, very simple and easy install. Couldnt believe it. I then took her for a spin and got on her n wow. U immediatley get pushed back into your seet after u gun it. Not sure if my CAI inc intake takes a part in that. Im very impressed on the difference.

Something else i noticed with the vmax, it makes the car idle or rev up a bit more which in my opinion makes it a tad louder. I think im guilty of liking it but wanna know if others noticed that too. I now want to get a dyno

Also, want to thank apex-chase for the prompt service. (Elite cc/vmax tb)

Cool, might need to use the pressure washer under the hood every once and a while though. I do mine once a month.

I'd like to hear a little more about your drivability changes. I've got an SS vert on order and I find myself already purchasing mods. Rx catch can, gill stripes looking hard at the CAI intake and TB mod. Let 'er breathe and keep 'er clean.

Wont alter driveablility. It will be a more prominent sound when it sucks in a big gasp of cold air, you will probably notice minor gains in TQ/HP and minor throttle response, better gas mileage aswell. They are great mods for the V8.

I don't have a ported TB but I have a rotofab, the TB will be in my cam package from slow hawk so for now im adding supporting mods like LT / CAI

There you go. Those are driveability issues. All good.

Like to add one of those too, but looking at the sales websites, they only have them for the 2010-2013 models. Guess have to keep waiting for the 2014 versions to hit before that upgrade....

Glad that you are happy with it. The CAI intake definitely plays a role. Those two parts work together to improve efficiency and air flow. Thank you for your order and...

You are just seeing out dated application listings. Nothing changed from 2013 to 2014. It is the same throttle body.

Lol. I drive hard.

Yea I agree. Will need to do that. Would I have to be mindful around the cai filter?

Not 100% sure on these, but usually a pressure washer under the hood is a big no no.

There's lots of electrical connections under there for water to get into.

Theres water blown around under the hood of a car all the time in the rain. Use common sence when spraying under the hood, and dont hold the sprayer close lol. I hold the sprayer about 3-4ft back and hose er down good while the engine is running and stay away from the intake filter/inlet. Been doing it that way for 24 years.

The throttle body is exactly the same. The vendors probably just haven't updated their website. So if you order one, it will definitely fit. From 2013-2014 there are absolutely no changes to the engine or performance parts.
