You'll wonder why you waited so long, once it's installed.

If they go to the traditional style like 99% of all the other camaro intakes, how will it be worth the wait? Only reason I was wanting to wait was for the OVer the radiator style intake..

I mean if it's redesigned and set up like rotofab, CAI, and all them I don't see it being capable of being much better. Just my opinion

LFX VARARAM intake

I removed the llt maf mount piece from the intake and put on an lfx maf mount piece today. (conveniently, the lfx maf mounting area and bolt pattern is the same as the V8 maf, so I already had made several maf blocks)... Once the adhesive sets up I will check for vacuum leaks and plug them if necessary.

That was about as far as I could go today. So once that was done, I adapted a ZL1 lower air box section to fit the car and installed it.

Very nice. Are you gonna do a stock vs vararam intake or anything on the dyno same day to make sure it performs good? As I've read you can't get 100% accurate numbers on the dyno, but as long as the numbers go up and not down I'd definitely think about just modifying the LLT version.
If you think about it, for little things such as MAF and a couple other minor modifications to the LLT version, there's really no excuse for vararam to take so long. The LFX came out in 2011 it's been like 2 1/2 years haha

Good stuff Jsn this is the only reason I come to this thread to see what you are up to. In the computer software world when new software is promised but never delivered it is called 'vaporware', how about 'vaporair'

We will see... As kmprenger mentioned, changes to the overall shape of the intake can make a huge difference... My gut feeling is that it's not really going to perform well since I've modified it so much. But who knows? It may surprise me... I've got 2 other "popular brand" LFX cold air intakes here so comparing seat of the pants gains with this modified Vararam vs something "reputable" should be easy... If it feels like a turd, I won't bother attempting to dyno it... If it feels as good, or better than either of the others, I may dyno it just for $#!7$ and giggles...

Vaporam LOL... I feel like they are probably missing the train here, but it is what it is... I'm not holding my breath waiting for a real LFX Vararam intake to come out, never was. I'm really just trying to do this because I think it can be done.
