Got Allocation

After looking some of the CGM picks I decided to change my stripes from black to silver. I called my dealer and he said "good thing you called today, because we are putting your order in GM tomorrow

It has been a 2.5 month wait from when I ordered, now I get to wait another 2 months until she arrives :(

The dealer says that GM has been very slow to deliver once the order is placed. What are you guys experiencing?

All I know is....I placed my order 2 months ago, and am still at 1100. I don't friggin' get it.

2 months?? is that all??? try waiting 5 months at 1100

Over eight months for a dealer alloted car, car was built 7-15, on a train 7-22, today the car is in Nashville, probably another week.

yeah, i feel bad for everyone that ordered last year and still dont have their car yet

That's because your dealer was not honest with you to begin with and for all you know, still has no allocation to get your car built. If your dealer is scheduled to be closed then GM will not be processing your order.

actually I went with a very very small dealership that only gets one allocation a month because they were the only ones to offer msrp in my entire area. I was 5th on the list and im next, should have mine at the end of august and they aren't on the list to be closed

One Camaro allocation per month is not a very, very small dealership.

That's just as ridiculous. I don't know why you would have even waited that long. I'd be bailing at that point. Yes, I WANT my car badly...and yes I want to support the GM team, etc. But there is something known as customer service and doing right by the customer. To hell with waiting 5 months at 1100. There is no good reason anyone that anyone can give me for someone to have to wait that long at 1100. That's bad business. May be the reason why GM is sucking so badly right now. I'd rather bail than be strung along for months at 1100. I don't NEED this car....GM (and the car) need me/us.

If you've waited 5 months at 1100 brother....GM (and the GM dealer you ordered through) are basically telling you to bend over and grab yer ankles.

I placed my order late February, got allocation on 6-24 and order was submitted on 6-29. Car was built 7-27. My car should be delivered the week of Aug 10.

I know how you all feel, I ordered mine may 25, 2009 and I just went to 2000 on July 27, 2009, it all depends on when the dealership get a slot.
Which was not told to me until my order was given a order number and then a week later it went to 2000 which = GM accepted the order.
I feel for you all good luck and dont give up

I know what you are saying, and believe me, this whole time I have been looking at camaro's on other dealers lots. but when every other dealer is 5 to 10k over msrp in my area, I figure I am saving that much by waiting, and I am a very patient guy I should have mine soon and like other guys that have waited this long and even longer, this car IS worth the wait. I just spend the time waiting by buying accessories for the car so I will have them when my car gets here . Dont give up yet, you will get your car, and when you do, you will forget about all the waiting you did (so ive been told )
