Anyone else have what feels like a slight hesitation/slippage in low gears with the LS3? I feel it most in 1st and 2nd at about 1/4 throttle. It feels like I'm driving in sand or losing traction, but obvisouly at 1/4 throttle I'm not, and it feels herky-jerky. If I floor it, all seems normal. It's been this way since I've had it (1600 miles), but I dismissed it as not knowing the car well and/or being paranoid...but now I'm convinced it's doing something.

Is this another quirky thing with this type of transmission? There aren't any weird noises or anything either..

Welcome to my world! I was on the phone today when GM finally called me back after 2600 miles. My dealer says it's the Active Fuel Management system, and there is no fix. You can see my complaint list under bamacarfool on this site. GM advises there is no fix at this time, I told them I will need a drop dead date to fix the car or they can buy it back. Mine drives fine using the paddle shifters. I'm trading for a Chrysler if they don't fix mine soon!

The LS3 doesnt have Active Fuel Management, the L99 that is mated to the Auto has AFM.

Yeah, sorry, I have the LS3...it's subtle...kinda waiting to see if it gets worse before I go nuts. It does feel like it's not getting fuel or something for a second at a time...something like that.

You know mine is doing the exact same thing, and I just thought that it was a new car or im just being paranoid. Im wondering if there is something wrong or not. When I floor it all is normal, its only at like 1/4 to 1/2 throttle.

My LS3 should be here in a few days. So you guys have me worried now. What have your dealer said about this problem thus far?

Well I actually never asked my dealer about it, I just wrote it off as being paranoid. Im going to take it in on Monday and see what they say, ill let you know what i figure out.

On the LS3 and L99 autos the car has torque management and the auto is more so, That is what you feel and the only way to fix it is to get a good tune not by GM.

Hmm...OK, thanks for the info...just researched it, sounds about right. Did the LS1's have this? I don't remember feeling it in my Z28.

Mine does it, but only when cold. Clears up after about a mile of driving.

My 04 GTO did the same thing. LS1 with a T56

I have the same problem, mostly when cold but it is still there but more subtle after warm! LS3 M6
