It is labeled so h wont miss it. It is the only Diode once u open the canbus box . It took me 1 min to remove it. But make sure u do that before installing the unit.

I got that email when I was asking him how to fix the USB loading issues, but mine hasnt froze up either. Since it has not frozen and I am leary about removing things...I am sticking with not doing it and maybe not upgrading to 4.0.

So is that just a 4.0 software thing? And instead of fixing it in the software they just have you remove the diode! That sounds kind of scary. Have you had any issues with lockup or freezing at all after that? Also can this radio use the voice commands like the Mylink system>

I Can take individual pictures later, it is raining and car is parked in it. However, this is the Dongle he sends with the OBD2.

As far as I know there is nothing special with the BT Dongle. It does not install drivers, etc. When I ordered it I was more curious about the BT then the OBD2, so I tried to connect my older OBD2 with the BT Dongle and it would not connect. Granted, I didnt try real hard to see if there was something else I could do. But when I plugged in the OBD2 he shipped with it, it hooked right up without any fuss.

Attached are my OBD2 I used with my S3 (black OBD2) and the one now connected that he shipped (white one). I actually like it better as I dont hit it with my leg.

Didnt realize it was so blurry, but the only script on the white one is Supports All OBDII Protocols, ELM 327.

Ok. Mine might work. I have not had it but a couple of weeks and it is a blue ELM327. Did you get the 3G modem? I would only need Internet to download apps but other than that i would not need it. I am not buying it to web surf or get on Facebook. Thanks for the help

That's an answer to which question?

Do the cameras come with a built - in light, or are the lights separate? I'm going to get a different backup camer, but I'm mostly wondering about the front bumper camera. If I bought one elsewher, would I have to get a light for it?

This is the 1 I bought. Must cameras have built in lighting for night vision. The ones they sell are CMOS and the best ones for clarity and picture is CCD.
