hydrodipping a zl1 ecf insert has anyone?
Was thinking about hydrodipping one of my ecf zl1 hood inserts. Just wanted thoughts on longevity and durability in the sun. Pros and cons. Thanks.

Hood insert cf hydro-dip
We have done several of them, The hydro-dip is a very durable process. Part is primed, print is applied, 3 coats of high quality clearcoat/buffed. We can also color base the part to match the color of your car.

What is the result of the dipping? The question doesn't make sense to me. |

Because of piss poor quality. Im on my 4th insert at 35k miles so since warranty is about up on that part its time to find a more permanent fix. Plus im thinking of putting a color in there and because I have an extra.

Not all Hydrodips look like Carbon Fiber....
And when you have a spare lying around like he does I guess you can get creative.

There is no current issue but as I said I havent had much luck with the factory piece having 4 of them in 2 years. I never said I was gonna dip it carbon fiber print either, I was really thinkin naked japanese anime. what I do know is that I'm almost out of factory warranty for that part so I'm looking at a more permanent fix when it starts to go bad since I have an extra I can experiment with.
