Anyone have an install write up done? If I bought a ZL1 front bumper with grill, foglights & bezels, what all else would I need to make it work?

So I finally had someone check it out, and there was a loose connection with the harness. So now my two little fog lamps work together with the headlights, and the DRLs work by themselves during the day. Now I just need to change the bulbs and put in some HID bulbs. Would like to get those that change colors!

My ZL1 Areodynamics Conversion

I converted my car with all the ZL1 aerodynamic parts including the belly pan. I did not install the side skirts yet. I track my car at the road course and these additions did improve the handling. Once I take some better pictures I will post them.

do i need the belly pan if i dont want my lower grille/splitter to sag? the rear of the piece (the end thats under the radiator-ish) hangs down a bit, and i've already lost one splitter from catching something that decided to pull it off. with my new splitter on the way, i'm trying to prevent that

Does anyone have a photo of the trimming they did to the lower black plastic that acts as a wind deflector or radiator shroud? I have an LS if that makes any difference.

Has anyone replaced this with an actual one from a ZL1? Price?

Thank you

I am about to do the conversion and have a question. I have a non-RS SS and do not want to upgrade the lighting on the car except to add the lower set of fog lights. I see everyone talking about needing a new harness, and just wanted to know if I could reuse the SS harness and tap the lower fogs into the upper fogs?

[QUOTE=Inuyashas_Brother;7075551]Thanks, but would you mind elaborating - what steps were taken to create the modified retainer? It seems a part was cut and something else was glued?

Thanks![/QUOTE

you can get a special retainer from azap racing on ebay that is formed for the early fog light. It has the bump out to clear the adjuster knob. It is only $8 each. That is what I used.

After hitting a deer on Hot Rod Power Tour I decided to put the ZL1 front end on my car. State Farm said t was ok with them just pay the difference. Here is before and after. I ended up using a Trucabon extractor which was considerably less than the gm. All other parts are OEM.
