The key is to be faster than the cops, the cars aren't the problem it's the helicopter you need to watch out for lmao.

But if the Police Officer is using the radar correctly all the radar is going to signal for you is that you are about to get pulled over. Not saying it doesnt help because I use one also.

I cannot say I dont speed, like others said everyone does (i dont excessively). I got my car for autocross so thats why I dont have to worry to much about speeding on the streets (ive owned other fast cars). As far as telling someone to let it go and speed, not the brightest statement, thats like saying go ahead drive drunk here is how you can get away with it. Here is my $.07, If you are going to speed then go someplace where no one is around recon the area maybe get a couple of friends to help look ahead and behind and let it go. If you do speed and get caught dont try to lie or finagle your way out of the ticket man/woman up and accept your punishment.

There isn't a single person that drives that as never gone over the posted limit and most do it every single day no matter what vehicle they're in.

OP, you just have to be more aware. It's possible to have a little fun in these cars without affecting others and without getting tickets. I do it all the time.
This^^

So true..

OP, just pick your battles. Rural areas where no ones around are alot safer then a city / packed hi-way.

Thank you for that! Also I'm in the exact same boat as you haha. Could always checkout barlowtrail timmies fri/sat nights in the summer. Can be fun or a waste of a night, and relatively safe from cops but enough people chance of getting caught is minimal.

The price of tickets, the price of gas and the price of new tires.

Thats what keeps me from doing dumb things in my Camaro.

So your earlier statement of

"I don't have a radar detector and have no use for one. I go over the posted speed limit all the time, but at what I perceive to be safe and prudent for the road and traffic conditions. I lost my Captain Asshole cape long ago!"

is really just a bunch of chest-beating. You "go over the speed limit all the time" because all the cops are your buddies. Go somewhere outside your element and you might change your outlook.

Also, I have to question the last sentence in your quote. So, I wear "the A-cape" because I advise against excessive speed, yet you don't wear it because you encourage breaking the law. Okay. I see.

IF you have a 5th Gen Camaro, ANY MODEL, and have never broken the speed limit, you are a traitor to the cause.
