...... and at the 6 months mark if you don't call, the system automatically suspend storage mode, and return policy to active (found this out last year after bike was dormant due to a prolong cold Spring season and wasn't pressed to ride)....

In N. J., you must maintain the state minumum at all times or surrender your plates. I could only drop collision and then get the storage discount???

Wow I had know idea that you could still do that? I have Geico, and will be calling them tomorrow, to see if I can get storage till May. I've had my car since Nov 2012 and I only have 1,495 miles.

Not weekend only, but storage for 5 months - reduced
rate. The problem you're having may be no insurers will cover for weekend only. Mine is USAA storage mode. :-)

I did ask them about reduced rates and they do offer me a "mileage discount" on all 3 of our vehicles as none are driven over 4k miles / year and the Saturn Sky and Camaro under 2k miles / year. Perhaps they didn't mention it because I told them I'd be driving the Sky and Camaro "around the block on a rare occasion" during the winter months just to move them. I'll check with them today.

I have 4 vehicles fully covered. I think the storage mode on SS and Bike save me almost $100 / month.... (I think)...... but best you call them up.....even better, log onto their site and under your auto coverage, you will see the prompt to place vehicle in "Storage Mode".....gl

I drop my collision during the winter while it's garaged. It saves me about $25.00 a month for the roughly 8 months it doesn't see the road.
