In all seriousness, however, I use a chamois cloth but you've got to use the chamois before the the spots dry. I swear by this method and used it on my Silver Pearl Saturn Sky Red Line as well. You won't regret it.
You missed, "You and Me and Rain on the Car"

Do you not have the paint protector from Chevy? If you do your paint should be under warranty through GM and if your water spots create any sort of discrepancies in your paint they'll fix it free of charge

Having spent a year or so in Phoenix, back in the 80s, I'd think all the crap in the air around the city would certainly cause some staining when it rains. Outside Phoenix proper... don't know.

We have extreme hard water here so good luck getting those water spots off your car.
This is almost like putting acid on your car.

i'd be a little more worried about those sand storms in AZ... otherwise hold off for one of those topless car washes!

rain won't hurt the car.. just make sure to dry it and/or detail it before the sun comes out and bakes it..

mine sat all day in the rain yesterday as I opt to take the 4x4 in the rain, I love being able to blast thru flooded intersections and not really worry about my intake sucking in water.

Why are you afraid of washing the car? Use the 2 bucket system with gritguards

Don't tug on Superman's Cape, don't spit in the wind. Don't pull the mask off the old Lone Ranger, and don't mess around with Jim.

GM doesn't offer a "paint protector". The dealer will sell an aftermarket warranty to cover some paint issues. GM only covers paint if its a factory defect.
