No, just told me the Mic is thru the phone. Haven't asked anymore since I was waiting on 4.0 which I upgraded today. I'll spend some time tomorrowtrying to get it set again. But from what I have seen there is no Mic in the Unit. Working on trying to get the existing Mic to work right now.

Well....it actually does seem quicker. I like the layout better, smoother and less "hanging".

But so far I am trying work through a few things...
Finally got iGo text to turn English (that was amusing as it was in Arabic)
Need to find a way to load US Maps or at least Florida, cant go through the Update/Extra tab in-app.

Seems to drop and forget Wifi connectivity and password, so I am having to retype that everytime.

Radio stations are pre-programmed, but when I shut off and turn back on it shows 87.50 on all presets until they are touched, then shows the actual preset station.

Cant sign into Google Play. Can check gmail, etc, but google play wont let me on. ** Picture is attached if anyone else runs into it. This fixed it

So far that's it. If I could get iGo Maps and google play I am sure I can find a way to work through the wifi and then maybe even try to tackle the bluetooth communication to Torque.

Be curious if anyone else who did an upgrade has run into these bumps versus the ones that were shipped straight out. And I use a link and download Lim sent me so it wasn't backdoored with the wrong stuff.

bnorman has Lim got back to you with these problems? The video shows that you have to change the canbus. Wonder if the memory wire for the radio is on a switched source or powered all the time like it should be to hold info?

It wants you to modify the CANbus?

How exactly does it suggest you do that?

Lol ok now I see. He's not actually changing the camaro's CANbus. He's changing a setting on the head unit so that it can read our CANbus.

Right! If after the upgrade you do not change the setting the radio will not work with the new software. This is why I sold my radio so hopefully when I am ready to install late April early May Lim will have the bugs worked out of the 4.03 software upgrade!

I did the CANBUS fix. I learned if you dont you lose function of the Heat/AC and other knob controls.

I edited above with a fix on the Google Play log in, seems to be a Android thing not a HICES thing. Still working on the other stuff

What does shaving 2mm off of this do for fitment? I don't see what problem this would cause or what it would be in the way of.

You did forget about this picture, if you shave the posts you have to do the same to the bracket.

So your saying shaving the 2mm off of the metal bracket moves it in 2mm once shaved? If so I understand but of the pics I seen after the mod it looked like it left a gap between the metal bracket and the faceplate.
