Ok. From the pics I have seen though there is still a bigger gap than I would be happy with between the dash opening and headunit at the top even after the mods.

Due to the change, the upper part of the front panel sits deeper in the dashboard and almost eliminates the gap between them.

Would rather have iOS like it states Mercedes will be doing, JMHO.

Lim said that next month the radio will come ready to fit out of the box. So no more mods. It will already be done.

Crazy how this guy can get design changes done so quickly, but Metra and Scosche can't get their act together after years of production and customer complaints.

It takes no time to root the device, then you can do whatever you want.

Right! I have been a Apple fan forever until Android got their shit together and I will never go back. That is why Apple is losing the market now. Just seen where Android out sold Apple in tablets now. They used to be the leader when Jobs was alive. This Cook person is no Steve Jobs for sure!!

My car is in the shop and was lucky to get a Chevy with My Link for comparison. I gotta say, if we could work out all the small issues with the HITS system I would be perfectly happy with it.

The upgrade to 4.0 has left me wanting a little bit but I am sure Lim will get them worked out. Those who put in 4.0 as an upgrade, any issues with iGo? Cant get a map to show. Lim said to follow instructions, select external iGo and still noGo. Got the other little quirk fixed before Chevy received my car this morning.

Thanks

The foot-well lighting I am also working on (RGB) can be controlled via a wifi connection with an iOS app or Android app so having this unit may be beneficial to my foot-well install as I can use the headunit to change the colors. This may be planned for my Halo's in the future as well which is a major reason I'm looking at this.
I do hope you intend to write up a DIY on that

Looks like the carrier decided not to deliver my radio today. Sad part is, it made it out of China, across an ocean and cleared customs in the US faster than my local carrier can sort and deliver a box.

Should have been DHL. I'm guessing you got a tracking number. That sucks! Forgot, DHL hubs in Cincinnatti and has to get it to Texas, weather is real crappy

Except I've committed to MyLink since I got it for a steal of a price.
