Clay Bar

Can I use one clay bar to do the entire car.

probably but they are so inexpensive why bother?

the clay picks up impurities out of the paint and the nature of the clay imbeds the contaminants up to a point. but if u drop the clay on the ground or overuse it you can scratch the car. In fact if you drop it you should toss it.

so for a few bucks buy two, use one for horizontal surfaces and one for vertical.

I use about a 1/3 to 1/2 of a bar several times. Change it when you either drop it on the ground or if after folding and kneading it, it still looks dirty. I always end up dropping mine before it gets to dirty to use.

Depending on the severity of contamination, you can use one bar probably a dozen times. First thing, never ever use a whole bar at once. Divide it into 1/4s or so, depending on the size of the bar.

As with other things in life make sure you use enough lube.
