I paid $130.00 here in Tennessee at custom exhaust shop. Might search youtube for a clip.
ok NPP is solution but on 2010 hard to get or impossible, here a clip at idle V8 flaps open, rev up to 3k and you will have hell....... it´s amazing sound for stock performance exhaust. I love it.....

This.

Or go with cutouts. I love mine. I think it sounds exactly like it should, now.

Have a full exhaust already cut and welded in my back yard! Drive to Texas and it's free, heck we will even install it for you!

My mufflers were cut off for over a year, sounded great! Actually they are still cut off on the new exhaust!

I cut mine off, materials were less than $40 and my neighbor and I welded them on. Ground the welds down, flat black header paint, reused the '14 tips and voila. Awesome sound for the $, still looks stock and couldn't be happier.

I thought this was section 8? I guess not to much is going on in the 6 area. Any who, I plan on experimenting with the straight pipe set up until I figure out which cat back I want to go with. On the fence between atak and retro right now.

Thumbs up

Thanks for all the replies, I really appreciate it! After getting opinions and seeing some of the sound clips I think I like it.

I also have a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel that is straight piped and I just love the sound LOL. May go with a complete exhaust system later on but I think for now I'm going to go with a delete. Just need to find someone that I trust to do it. We actually have a reputable shop here in town that has done a lot of mods on our truck but personal reasons I would rather not go in there. So need to find someone within a couple hours or so of where I'm at.

I edited my original post but for those that have done it, did you leave the stock tips? I like mine but curious what others did!

I re-used mine, on the '14's they are just tack-welded onto the ends. If you can find a neighbor or someone that can weld, all the parts can be had at your local auto parts store. You need (2) 2.5" outside diamater 45* bend, and (2) 18" 2.5" outside diameter straight pipes.

If you search there are a few tutorials on how people did it with pics.

I did it to mine and I really liked it. I put long tube headers on with no cats and it got to loud. I changed the tips because I went with the square ones to match my gfx kit. I got it done at main st muffler in Springfield. I think Dave charged me $100 where do you live?

Ok cool, thanks IOM Black Diamond! I'm in Coos Bay and get to Eugene/Springfield often I'll get a hold of Dave and see what he says.

Thanks revived. It's not about needing something cheap it's about wanting something cheap LOL yet something that will work and not sound cheap if that makes sense. I can just think of better things to buy for my car than some expensive muffler system when I can get what I'M looking for out of a delete for $100. I'm a picky girl and I would rather go cheap at first if I don't like it than to spend a butt load on a system and not like it. I appreciate your comments and opinions though.
