Passing Inspection with Exhaust??
Does anyone know if the Stainless Works 3" Retro Chambered Cat Back Exhaust will pass VA inspection, or will I have to go with the Stainless Works 3" Cat Back Exhaust w/ S-Tube Mufflers?
Thank you!

Cat back your fine. You don't legally have to have mufflers.
Technically hi flow should cause you to fail, but I've never had an issue. Someone would really have to look. Honestly, if they fail you at a shop, just go to another. I don't think you guys have emissions like us in nova? |

Not sure about the laws where youlive but here in New Jersey as long as you have cats and it is not leaking you are good to go.

In Texas I always passed in my WS6, I was running Hooker Supercomps, 3" duals, x-pipe, dynomax race bullets and dumping at the punkin. No cats at all and a pretty wicked cam. Was loud as hell and smelled like raw fuel burning....for some reason, no one had a problem with it, lol

The free South... I'm actually a bit worried about NYS in the coming months. As long as there isn't a sniffer test, you should always pass the visual check.

Yes, I had hfc's on my 1le. KNow way they would ever see them. Technically it is illegal from a federal standpoint to alter any part of your exhaust. Also, if you are that concerned, go get an inspection and emmisions done right before you install. But honestly, you have nothing to worry about |
